Who we are
The word “Namami” means to bow down in Sanskrit.
Far from a modern trend, the Classical Hatha Yoga we are offering represents a sophisticated science that has been refined over millennia to empower the human system of today. These tools have a remarkable way of transforming lives, giving people the keys to master their own body and mind. For us, "Namami" is a constant reminder of where the science has come from and the gratitude we feel for being able to share this with others.
Trained under Sadhguru Gurukulam, Namami Hatha Yoga aims to deliver this traditional science in its purest form to those who are seeking to experience life more fully. Whether it’s improving your strength, mental clarity or increasing your energy, these practices offer a pathway towards this. These practices are offered in a way that once learnt you are empowered to maintain your own daily practice wherever you may be.
Classical Hatha Yoga is an offering for everyone, regardless of age, background, or belief. It is a possibility for anyone with the openness and commitment to explore it. It is our privilege at Namami Hatha Yoga to support you as you begin this journey of self-discovery.
I came across Classical Hatha Yoga through the Isha Foundation when I was 15. At the time, I was seeking for a natural way to manage stress as it had become a primary trigger for my health. Through regular practice, I experienced profound changes: physically I became more toned and fit, but more importantly I found a new sense of emotional and mental balance.
Through these classes I started listening to Sadhguru's talks. I found that his words offered so much depth and provided a level of clarity that I hadn't encountered before. I was able to handle difficult situations with far greater ease and composure, rather than being overwhelmed by them. This experience of being able to take charge of my own wellbeing through a practice I can do anywhere, anytime, inspired me to spread this to many more!
Undergoing the intensive 1,750+ hour classical hatha yoga teacher training by Sadhguru Gurukulam allowed me to experience yoga as a holistic process of life. It brought a new level of precision to the most fundamental aspects of daily living from the way food is eaten to the simple way one sits and breathes. The teaching methodology allowed me to experience the postures not merely as physical movements, but as a pathway to truly being present within myself.
